For my Final Project, I wanted to dig deeper into the Video portion of the class. I wanted to make a slide show of a few places I’ve been to share my experiences with everyone. As I stated in my introductory to this class, I love to travel to different places. Everyone should have the chance to explore what the world has to offer. I hope you all enjoy, and have a wonderful rest of the Academic year.

Work Sample 2

This Blog post and interview project was  assigned in (Digital Media Skills) JRN 135 at Southern Connecticut State University.

JRN 135 students at Southern Connecticut State University conducted a survey about individual use of technology on their phones. Questions varied from what kind of phone do you have, to what is the most frequent app that you use on your phone. The class received about 1000 responses. Some factors associated with different survey responses has varied based on age. You can find the survey results here.

After reviewing the results, Max Naranjo and I dove deeper into one specific part of the survey. “If you misplace your phone, how uncomfortable do you become?”

This chart represents the number of responses to to the question above, from the survey.

Results ChartFrom the survey results majority of respondents feel uncomfortable when their phone is misplaced. Everyday you see people everywhere always glued to their phone. For some people, their entire life can be on their phone (personal banking, identity, passwords, house/arm alarms etc.) Instead of anonymous responses, we wanted to hear stories from individuals about their level of discomfort, if any when they misplace their phone. Our interview participants had a range of answers  about their level of discomfort. You can tune into the interview below.
